Frequently Asked Questions
1,000 – 2,000 PSI – Light duty cleaning (cars, outdoor furniture, soft washing).
2,000 – 3,000 PSI – Medium duty (driveways, sidewalks, fences).
3,000 – 4,000 PSI – Heavy duty (concrete, brick, stripping paint).
4,000+ PSI – Industrial grade (graffiti removal, commercial power washing).
Cleaning Power – Higher PSI means stronger pressure, which is useful for removing stubborn dirt, grime, and stains.
Surface Safety – Using too much PSI on delicate surfaces (like wood or siding) can cause damage, while too little PSI may not clean effectively.
Pairing with GPM – PSI + GPM = Total Cleaning Power. While PSI determines pressure, GPM (Gallons Per Minute) determines water flow, and both work together to clean efficiently.
PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) is a measurement of water pressure in the pressure washing industry. It determines how forcefully water is sprayed from a pressure washer.
- 2-3 GPM – Light-duty cleaning (residential driveways, patios, decks).
- 3-5 GPM – Medium-duty (houses, roofs, commercial work).
- 5+ GPM – Heavy-duty (large commercial properties, fleet washing).
- Cleaning Efficiency – Higher GPM means more water volume, which helps rinse away dirt and debris faster.
- Surface Coverage – A higher GPM allows you to clean larger areas more quickly.
- Chemical Application – When using soft washing techniques, GPM affects how well chemicals are applied and rinsed.
- Pairing with PSI – While PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) determines water pressure, GPM determines how much water is delivered. Together, they dictate overall cleaning power.
GPM stands for Gallons Per Minute and is a key measurement in the pressure washing industry. It refers to the amount of water that flows through a pressure washer per minute
Electric power washers are quieter, easier to maintain, and produce no fumes, making them safer for indoor and residential use. They’re typically smaller and lighter than gas models and start with the pull of a trigger—no engine warm-up required. If you don’t need extreme pressure, electric washers are a convenient and eco-friendly choice.
